Meet Lillian – Leukemia Warrior!

Meet Lillian

“Thank you so much for everything you are doing for families like mine.” – Lillian’s mom

Lillian was diagnosed with leukemia when she was seven years old and, according to her mom Leslie, it “turned our world upside down.” The best treatment for Lillian was in Memphis, TN, more than seven hours away from their hometown, and Peoria, IL, which was over four hours in a car. According to Leslie, “We honestly had no idea how we were going to make ends meet.” But, thanks to our supporters, the NCCS was there to assist Lillian’s family with travel expense so she could get to treatment and even helped cover their rent through our Emergency Assistance Fund. “Your organization has taken another burden off of our shoulders”, said Leslie. “I don’t think any of you really know how much it means to all of us!! Thank you so much for everything you are doing for families like mine.”
