REGIONAL CONFERENCES

The National Children’s Cancer Society’s Beyond the Cure Survivorship Program extends financial support to hospitals nationwide. This enables them to host survivorship conferences tailored to their local communities. These conferences serve as educational platforms for childhood cancer survivors and their families, offering insights into survivorship issues and empowering attendees to advocate effectively for their unique needs.

University of Minnesota Masonic Cancer Center Survivorship Conference

Title: The Artistry of Resilience: Creating Strength Post-Cancer

This Free educational conference will focus on questions and issues patients, survivors, and their families often face during and after cancer treatment or stem-cell transplantation.

Moving Beyond Cancer to Wellness is an annual event coordinated by the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center Survivorship Program. This event will provide general education on a variety of the late and long-term effects faced by cancer survivors post-treatment. It is intended for cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, friends, and family.

Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters

Location: Military Aviation Museum, Virginia Beach, VA

Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters will host a 2024 Survivor Day event in September at the Military Aviation Museum in Virginia Beach. This museum is home to one of the world’s largest collections of flying vintage military aircraft and helped inspire this year’s theme ‘The Sky’s the Limit!’. Attendees will be registering through the online portal set up by CHKD. Families will use a link or QR code to register.
