  When he was just three years old, Justin was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma. "Because it is rare, we searched for a doctor that primarily treats this type of cancer," explained Justin's father, Jon. "We left our home in Tampa and ventured to New York City for treatment." Thanks to your ongoing support, the NCCS makes sure children like Justin get the specialized treatment they need, no matter where it is located. "We don’t know what we would do if we didn't have the NCCS' help!” said Jon. "Thank you!"

  The NCCS is proud to partner with Agelity, a national provider of discount prescription drug cards. The NCCS card provides users significant discounts on prescription medications at over 55,500 participating pharmacies nationwide.
  
  

Beyond The Cure Scholarship Program

The Beyond the Cure Scholarship Program awards college scholarships to childhood cancer survivors who have demonstrated the ability to overcome the difficult challenges of cancer with determination and motivation. The program continues to grow – in 2011, $100,000 was awarded to 32 childhood cancer survivors from across the country and in 2012, $125,000 will be allocated to approximately 35-40 childhood cancer survivors.

The NCCS is deeply grateful to Sue and Irl Engelhardt, the Engelhardt Family Foundation, the Dana Brown Charitable Trust, Energizer Charitable Trust, ADM Foundation, Davison Bruce Foundation and Aflac Foundation for their generous support of the Beyond the Cure Scholarship Program.

The Beyond the Cure Scholarship Program closed on March 30th for the 2012-2013 academic year. Please check back in January to apply for a 2013-2014 scholarship. Thank you for your interest.
